About the Baker Family
Dewey and I worked in San Jose but never met. We moved to Fresno for our careers in 2001.
Dewey founded an electrical company, and I entered the teaching credential program at
Fresno State. It took us a few years to find each other but we met and quickly fell in love.
While he was courting me, I told him I liked Poodles. I liked their funny haircuts, as well as,
the grace they had about them. And I had fond memories of my grandma's miniature poodle,
Tiny, and my mom's miniature poodle, Lucky.
In 2004, we married. We decided to add a dog to our family, we researched and discussed
many breeds. We wanted a family dog that had a protective nature that would not shed. I am
allergic to dog dander so we needed a hypoallergenic dog. In the end we knew that Standard
Poodles were the perfect addition to our family.
For Mother's Day in 2005 Dewey surprised me Priscila. We loved her so much, he gave me
our second poodle, Sasha, for our first wedding anniversary. Priscila was so happy to have a
friend to run and play chase with her and to just be silly poodles
When we were looking for a boyfriend for the Sasha & Priscila, I found Louie at Empress
Poodles. Louie has been a perfect companion for our family.

Our Location
We are located in Clovis, California. It is next to
Fresno in the Central Valley. We have placed
puppies all over the state.
We offer several delivery options. You may drive
to Clovis and meet our Poodles. We can meet
you at your house or somewhere in between. Or
you we can ship your puppy if you live out of state.
Bakersfield and Merced is about an hour and a
half away. San Francisco, San Jose, Oakland,
San Luis Obispo, and Sacramento is about a
three hour drive. Los Angles, Long Beach, Santa
Barbara and Santa Rosa is a four to five hour
drive. San Diego and Riverside area is a seven
to eight hour drive.
